What is an Employee Assistance Program (EAP)?
St. Johns County School District offers an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to support employees and their families during life’s challenges. The EAP is a voluntary, confidential counseling service designed to help you manage personal and work-related concerns.
The program provides guidance and support to promote emotional well-being and maintain a healthy, productive balance at work and at home.
Common areas of support include:
- Stress, anxiety, and depression
- Family or relationship concerns
- Grief and loss
- Parenting and child behavioral issues (including ADD/ADHD)
- Substance use (alcohol or drugs)
- Eating disorders
- Adolescent and school-related challenges
- Aging parent concerns
- Smoking cessation
Who is the EAP Provider?
EAP services are provided by Dr. Townsend & Associates, P.A., a team of licensed professionals experienced in helping individuals navigate a wide range of personal concerns.

The program is strictly confidential. If you contact the EAP on your own, no one at the District will be notified (to the extent permitted by law).
If referred by a supervisor, only limited information may be shared—and only with your written consent.
Many challenges can be resolved with the right support. The EAP is here to help when you need it most.
