Time Off Policy
This Policy covers time off for PTO, Birthday Time Off, Jury Duty, Bereavement, Company Holidays, and Volunteer Time Off for team members whose standard hours, excluding overtime work, equal at least 30 hours per week. Part time and temporary team members are not eligible for paid time off.
New Hires
New hire team members accrue PTO based on their offer letter. PTO will start accruing immediately in the month of his or her hire date and will be prorated for the first year.
PTO Scheduling
Team members should use the Seven Corners Paylocity for submitting requests for PTO. All PTO requests must be for minimum of 2 hours. Scheduled holidays that occur during a team member's vacation will not count as vacation time.
PTO Earned While on Leave of Absence
PTO will not accrue while a team member is on a leave of absence. When the team member returns to work, PTO will accrue retroactively for the leave of absence time taken. If a team member terminates employment during his or her leave of absence, he or she will be considered to have terminated at the beginning of the leave of absence period for the purpose of calculating the amount of PTO accrued for the calendar year. If the team member does not return from a leave of absence and has used PTO not yet accrued, he or she will be subject to repayment upon termination.
PTO Carryover
A maximum of 56 hours accrued unused PTO may be carried over into the next calendar year. Any accrued unused PTO over the 56 hours will be forfeited.
PTO Volunteer Time Off
Each team member will receive 4 hours paid time off to volunteer his or her time to an organization about which they are passionate. Seven Corners wants to support its team to continue to make a difference in the community and to offer a helping hand to those in need. Verification may be required by your manager, and Volunteer time must be during scheduled work hours.
PTO Payout Upon Departure
Upon departure, team members will be paid for any accrued but unused PTO. If the amount of PTO taken exceeds the amount accrued, the team member will be required to repay any balance outstanding. PTO cannot be used to extend last day worked. PTO payout, when applicable, will be subject to applicable federal tax withholding and other required taxes.
Birthday Time Off
Team members are awarded 8 hours of time off to be used on their birthday week to celebrate their special day. This 8 hours should be used as a full day off of work. Please submit a time off request and use the “Birthday Time Off” code to request your 8 hours.
Jury Duty
Seven Corners supports the civic responsibility of all team members. Eligible team members will receive their regular pay while serving jury duty. A copy of the court notice must be submitted to the team member's supervisor verifying the jury call. It is the team member's responsibility to keep his or her supervisor informed about the time required for jury duty. Non-Exempt team members should record their time as Jury Duty on their time sheet.
Bereavement
All team members are eligible for up to 5 days paid for bereavement leave due to the death of an immediate family member (spouse, child, grandchild, parent, grandparent, sibling). Team members are eligible for up to 3 days of bereavement leave due to the death of a non- immediate family member.
Seven Corners may request verification of the absence (e.g., death certificate, newspaper article) prior to granting payment for absence. Non-Exempt team members should record their time as Bereavement on their time sheet.
Paid Time Off (PTO)
Availability
Team Member's annualized PTO balance will be available for use after the first payroll in January is processed, in advance of being accrued.
Service Time / PTO
0-5 years: 4 weeks
6-11 years: 5 weeks
12+ years: 6 weeks
Note: Given if a team member has not met the maximum range. Team members who were hired under a PTO plan that is different from the schedule listed above will remain on their original PTO plan.
Company Paid Holidays

Each year team members will receive 8 paid holidays:

Each year team members will receive 1 floating holiday to be used for one of the following holidays:
Martin Luther King Day Presidents' Day Good Friday Juneteenth Columbus Day Halloween Elections Day Veterans Day New Year's Eve
Team Members may use their floating holiday on other recognized or religious holidays with prior approval from the People & Culture.
All floating holidays need to be approved in advance based on business need and availability.
Team members will have from January 1 to March 1 to select their floating holiday for approval. New hires will have 30 days to select.
